Nathan Feler (Deva Mahal, Cautious Clay, Simrit Kaur) is a music producer, audio engineer, and songwriter living in Brooklyn, NY. He works at Jungle City Studios in Manhattan and is co-owner of Voyager Sound Studios in Brooklyn. He previously has worked for Grammy-Award winning producer and songwriter, Scott Jacoby (Coldplay, Vampire Weekend, John Legend), as the guitar player for singer-songwriter Cautious Clay, and as a staff engineer at Comedy Cellar in Greenwich Village.
Since graduating from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music with his Bachelors in Recording Arts in December 2015, Nathan has worked as the tour manager for Lily & Madeleine (Feb - May 2016) and as the FOH engineer for Simrit Kaur (April 2016 - January 2017). He has previously interned for The Music Playground (New York, NY) and Primary Sound Studios (Bloomington, IN), as well as Beale Street Caravan and the Aspen Music Festival. As a student at IU, he recorded over 400 hours of live jazz big bands, orchestras, operas, and choirs and was involved in the local Bloomington music scene producing and engineering records for local bands, honing his skills in many different genres. He is the songwriter and guitar player for the neo-soul band, the Brands, engineering and producing both of their records. His engineering credits include Deva Mahal, Lily & Madeleine and Simrit Kaur. Having worked in many different genres, Nathan's brings together genre-specific production and mixing with his own artistic sensibilities to make the recording and production process successful and fun for the artist.
